I have a floating Lollar pickup on my '56 Guild A 500 and I must say I am mighty pleased with it. I'm using Thomastick flats and they sound really great for jazz. I play with my thumb and other fingers (for separate notes). Has anyone on LTG have experience with this sort of combination? I'm using a Rivera 55 1 x 12 amp.

Moving to Archtops for more exposure since I don't really see a tech question.

right this Lollar pup is clean and clear and paired with the Rivera 55 1 x 15 is fantastic. Really smooth when it comes to jazz tone. I can't think of a better combination. The '56 A 500 s basically the Johnny Smith model without the expensive label. What a great axe.

When I got my Tele, and one of the reasons WHY I got it, it had had its P90 pickups changed to Lollar Alnico V ”Staple” pickups. Love them. Great cleans as well as getting raunchy when pushed.
