Life is good. Life is interesting and challenging. Here’s the front of our residence at sunset. Lovely. It’s 47 degrees. To my friends back East and other places…. Sorry.

It's 5 degrees here. Coldest weather in years, but I don't mind. No offense intended, but I couldn't live in that Las Vegas desert. Wait until July when it's 105 degrees and then see how you feel.

I'm with you Bob. I've spent a bunch of time out on the 15, and while interesting to visit, I couldn't stay for more than a week.

I understand my friends. We all choose our battles. Heat or cold. Humidity or hell. I'm good here. But realize I'm only shoveling sunshine right now. Well, since that crazy snow storm earlier this week. But it's all good.

Holy crap, it's cold this morning. I'd rather have the palm tree right now. :)

Thanks for your sympathy Tom. Where I'm from in NH it's 21*, ah make that minus -21*. I also feel sorry for the people in the northern states. The last 10 years I've been lucky enough to spend the winter months in Coastal GA (but it took 60+ years to get there.

Today it will be a cool 70*.

Very nice Thomas. Man, a tile roof like that would cost 5 times a composition roof here. :)

West

Tile roof beats them all !

Our house was built @ 1957 w tile roof - we replaced the tiles and the supporting wood strips - not the actual roof supports - @ about 1997- 2000 - coming summer I'm going to clean them "new tiles" and maybe put a bit of paint on them.

Surely more expensive to buy - but in long run it is easy and troublefree.

I'll see your palm and raise you a palm (from not-so-sunny-today-Florida). Took the dog out and snapped this.

Hey @Uke it's a Mitsuru Tamura from Japan. Mitsuru and his brother made some epic classicals. Don was in the Navy and in 1965 they stopped in Tokyo, Japan. The Vietnam war was heating up and they were patrolling the waters of the area. When he got to Tokyo, he went into a guitar shop which was owned by the Tamura family and bought this guitar which I'd swear is Cedar over Rosewood. But after all this time I can't tell if it's spruce or cedar. Anyway, it's an amazing guitar and these go for quite a bit. We're going to be selling soon. Don hardly ever plays and that's not a guitar I'd play anyway. But yeah it's super cool and almost 60 years old!! Lemme go on my phone and add a couple of photos, amigo!! (y)(y)
