The website lists measurements for the black S-100 as:
Nut Width1 11/16" (43mm)
Neck Thickness 1st Fret20mm
Neck Thickness 9th Fret23mm

On my personal guitar, I measured slightly wider at the nut (1.70" vs. 1.68"), and a hair under the numbers for frets 1 and 9, but close enough.

Interestingly, the specs for the USA (white) S-100 are:
Nut Width1.65" (42mm)
Neck Thickness 1st Fret20.5mm
Neck Thickness 9th Fret21.8mm

...which would in fact be a thinner neck.

I don't have the tools to measure radius, but the black s-100 is purported to be 12.5" and the USA (white) one is 12".

Completely! Most of my guitars have slimmer necks (which I prefer because I have smaller hands). To be sure, I'm not talking about a baseball bat here, just that the neck was slightly more substantial than I would have expected.
I think it was "Guitar.com" who reviewed this guitar and stated that it's a good blend of an SG and a Les Paul. After owning mine a few days now, I think that a fair assessment. However, it is lighter than any of my Les Pauls.

I would agree as well. I like it more than my SG, and as much as my Bluesbird.

The thing that bothered me most about SG's was their tendency to "Neck Dive" I wanted to like them....
No issues here with that!
That, and the bodies seem WAY too thin. I never really feel "comfortable" playing an SG, and have one only for the sake of checking that box.

Where on the spectrum do they fall on tone spectrum of sounding more like a Fender or more like a Gibson?

they sound much more like a Gibson than a Fender, with that Gibson scale length and those humbuckers. my 1970 S-100 sounds like a 1959 Les Paul, to my ears. I like the feel of the S-100 a lot better than a Les Paul, however (or an SG). Once I picked up my S-100, any chance of me ever owning, or even playing really, an SG, came to an end.

I tried a Korean Polara a few years ago. As I recall it was a relative heavy guitar, unlike a SG. Is this Indonesian made guitar lighter than the Korean version ?
Or maybe at this pricepoint it can differ from guitar to guitar ?

Funny enough I'm a weight weenie so I've tracked the weights of them. So far, they seem to range in weight from 7.3 to 8.2 lb. My Indonesian Newark Street S-100 Deluxe (S-100 with a Guildsby) weighs in at a mere 6.9 lb.

Important thing is if the weight is distributed towards the bottom of the guitar between bridge and body strap button, not towards the headstock!!😀

It's imbued with Kim's heavy riffage, so that adds some weight!

So now there's a custom shop? Did I miss mention of Custom Shop in the original announcement?

What else has come from the Oxnard Custom Shop?
