If one more person tells me "just one second" I think my head is gonna explode! When you think about it, that is really a stupid statement.

I think "just a moment, please" would be a much better response.

There is no courtesy protocol for customer service any more. This is just one example.

If I’m feeling generous I’ll let them wait a minute, but not a second longer.

HAH !!!

I remember when I was in US - people were always asking "How are you?" . . . 😏

yeah, way more concerning was that unruly crowd at the 18th hole of the PGA.
that could have gotten ugly, and it's golf for crying out loud.

Here's another one I hate: "Hold on..." Never say that to a customer.

Now get off my lawn!

Just one second😊, I need to mention how much it drives me crazy when someone repeatedly says “gotch-ya”.

Here's another good one, after being on the phone with a customer service representative for 20 minutes..."I'm going to transfer you to the (whichever department" then you can start all over again: "Can I get your full name and date of birth please..." AAARRRGGGHHH!

Worse yet, automated phone trees with opaque and vague instructions...after 2 or 3 re-dial attempts to start over, you finally get a ring.

A live person picks up.

And you get disconnected.

You know what I hate? When you go to a burger joint and you get a slice of an end of a tomato complete with stem.
