A real lesson in dynamics there!! Even simple 2-3 chord tunes could use that kind of feel to make something special out of it. Sadly, most modern music is all brickwalled w/ compression and is a victim of the “loudness wars” which really kills the potential beauty that dynamic depth and breadth can give.
If you don’t know about the loudness wars, look it up and read about how the band Oasis ruined music.

Chet did some of the most beautiful interpretations of songs I’ve ever heard, and from a wide variety of genres. This also refers me back to the Jerry Reed thread & that double LP I posted (Me & Jerry + Me & Chet). Just chock full of gorgeous stuff. And when it comes to “Loudness Wars,” my pet peeve is vocalist who feel like they constantly have to scream the words. Yeah, I’m talkin‘ about folks like you, Adele!
