Whoa! Had to turn on the subscription...didn't know you had to do it for each thread.

Nice veer Tom, great guitar! Attempted to have the first-day-of-summer cookout on the front porch
this noontime. Static temp was probably OK, but windy enough I still had to wear a flannel shirt, like
sitting in a votex!

Oh, supposed to go up to 90 next week. Figures!
HAAAA HAAAAA!! Bill, I honestly wasn't intending to jack your thread, but it was really nice "guitar buying weather" here in Vegas and ..... I just couldn't hold the excitement in. Did some cookout last night by the pool and I have to say, the wind really made it rather challenging!

Bill, as a fellow Massachusetts-ite, it seemed extra cold to me. I was on vacation on Anna Maria Island, FL on the Gulf Coast the last several days, coming home to this weather was a shocker. But I must admit, this afternoon was very nice!

I used to ski Lake Placid on a regular basis when I was running ski trips there in the mid 90's, and I NEVER saw that kind of a dumping on White Face. In fact, it was typical to be on Upper Cloud Spin with barely a spec of loose snow under your skis after lunch. That said, there are few places I would rather ski, and none given ideal conditions.

as for 40 here in MA, I wasn't happy about that at all! Despite my love of skiing I have been trying to talk my wife into a move much further South for years. North Carolina or beyond is ideal, but I would settle for Southern New Jersey...far enough to see the grass year-round, and to even play golf and tennis a bit in the Winter (and to not have to humidify my house so much in the Winter so my guitars can be out and about). I would much rather live in warmer weather and vacation to the slopes rather than the other way around.

my rant is over!

I'm with ya! Used to love ice skating, etc., but as I get older, the snow gets more annoying to deal with. We'll see what the future brings, but all my family (and my wife's, too) are here, so it is not going to be easy if a move south ever happens.

Funny story (at least I thought so): a waitress on Anna Maria Island said she grew up there. So I asked her where she went for vacation, and she said "Miami"!

Forecast for the next 3 - 4 days is 90+, hazy, humid. Let's stop complaining abut 40 degrees...

36" of snow at Lake Placid NY yesterday!

My brother spent the Memorial Day weekend in the Adirondacks about 30 miles north of Lake Placid. He sent me this photo of Whiteface Mt. that he took on the 27th. That diagonal line going across the mountain is the road to the top. You can barely make out the weather station at the peak.

Windy, upper 80's and very humid today. Took a short ride to breakfast this morning. Gypsy just loves it when "I cook". LOL

Peace

Tell me about weather. It's rained 4 inches since yesterday, and the radar is covered with red. Worse, all that stuff is visibly rotating counterclockwise. We'll see.
