The short story is I needed money more than guitars at the time. I actually put up 6-7 guitars for sale and ended up selling 4 of them. I kind of hoped the Guild would end up being the one that didn't sell, though... It sold on line to a guy in Massachusetts. I hoped he'd join here, but I don't think he ever did.
Here's what it looked like:
It had been played a lot and had a lot of finish wear, dents and dings, but everything was structurally fine and it played and sounded great. My logic at the time was that, if I ever missed having an S-100 a lot and had the money, they're not too difficult to find. Some of the instruments I kept were much closer to one of a kind.
Still, I do miss it sometimes. Funny thing, the guy that bought it from me e-mailed me right after it arrived asking me why I ever sold it! I think he was pleased with it.
Sorry nobody's answered your question about the mini toggles. I'm sure Hans and Grot know the answer. It wouldn't surprise me to learn those DiMarzios are stacked humbuckers and, if so, that the 2nd switch is a coil tap.
