Willy is from the Milwaukee area and I've seen him 3 times in the past 3 years. Always a great show.
It was kind of a funny deal the first time. I discovered him through the Guild website and bookmarked Willy's site after listening to a few tunes, and never got back to it. Months later my girlfriend found the bookmark and thinking I was a big fan, bought tickets for my birthday. When she gave me the tickets, she told me the story, and I told her the truth that I had only listened to 3 of his songs, months before. She had only listened to a few songs herself and we decided it would be fun to go to the concert without any further listening. We did and became fans that evening.
Christina died unexpectedly a few months after the last time we saw Willy, so the next time will be somewhat bittersweet, but the music will make it all right.
