I took my Favorite Guild Camping and we had a ton of fun. We had a fire and roasted weenies and we chatted about our favorite things. I spilled my beer but it was still fun. I also lost my pick inside the soundhole. How crazy is that? My lovely wife finally put us in bed, me in the camper and the D70 in it's case. We can't wait to go again.

Bluespicky, it'd take a much larger trailer to take your collection camping.

Actually I like your scamper! Big ones are a pain in the butt to pull not to mention the storage issue. I just wish my wife was more into the outdoors, I would be out camping every chance I get, I just got rid of a pop up that was tired of sitting in the backyard, only comfort it gave me is now I can buy more guitars!
And hey, if I read your signature right, you're only 1 shy of my count acoustic wise........

Yep......Thats a great photo! Sounds like a great idea too! Ive read something somewhere recently about how NICE is is to take a FINE QUALITY guitar out on such outings, usually reserved for the fireside bashers,....the QUALITY, and FULL RICHNESS of sound, in such an enviornment.....REALLY making a BIG DIFFERENCE in the JOY of the players and listeners.
Well,......she was safe in her case....so all was well!! Good on ya!!

One of my favorite places to be - camping with my Guild. I know I'm really on vacation when I can just sit around the campsite and play & sing :D Good for you, eb!

I am a lucky man, my wife loves to camp, and what's more she cooks!
I'm always on the lookout for a good "camp" guitar. But then, it's so awesome to be in a nice camp with your best guitar to enjoy for a weekend or a week. I always worry about leaving it when I go for a hike or fishing or whatever. I just recently bought an '86 D 25 for a camping guitar, but now I think it might be too nice...

I, too, am one lucky man. My wife loves to camp and she loves to cook on a camp stove. She also loves to hear the sound of 6 strings while the campfire dies down.

And then we crawl into our two-person bag!

**I've posted this one before but I had to join in on this great thread.
**The camp guitar for this trip was my Epi 000. Small, sweet package.

Happiness is....

Nice camping picture, Joe. How do you get your pictures on your posting like that? Also, where are you doing your camping?

Bleedz,

Thanks for the feedback. That particular site was at Alta Lake, in eastern Washington.

This is how I post pictures, step by step, so let's see if this routine will work for you:
1. Go to imageshack.com.
2. Click on Browse to find the image on your computer.
3. Select a pic and click Open.
4. Click upload.
5. After upload is complete, you'll see the link for your pic.
6. Left click and drag to highlight the link.
7. Right click and select copy.
8. Go to LTG and your post.
9. Click on img in the task bar.
10. Right click and click Paste between the img brackets.
12. Finish your post/message and click on Submit.

I guess you could say it's a variation on the 12-step program. Others might have a better way but this works for me.

Give it a shot and remember that it's just like playing your Guild....
you have to practice!

Thanks for all the great comments, all. Joe, I do my camping in Washington State as well. One of our favorite spots is the Quincy lakes rec area in eastern Wa. I'll give that advice on picture posting a try. Thanks again.

There, it kind of worked. That's a Quincy Lake trout. I caught it with my Guild and some power bait.

Looks like you're on the right track and just need a little fine tuning....just like when you play your guitar. You should be able to post just your photos without all that other 'stuff.' If I could look over your shoulder, I could lend a hand.

But hey, you caught a fine trout with that Guild! It's refreshing to know that even fish have GAS!

Cheers,
Joe
