but it plays like buttah...Yeah, the Epi's gotta go.
I too have oft wondered about this, but what would I do with the redundant, extra 6 strings?12-string?
I like your thinking, but too small a body for me. I was thinking another dread...Hmm. Vintage F20?
Oxnard D40 Traditional. Love mine!I like your thinking, but too small a body for me. I was thinking another dread...
Maybe you can replace it with a hollow Guild M-85? Also short scale and probably also Hofner-esque thumpy. :C)Yeah, the Epi's gotta go.
How about a late '60s or early '70s D35? This would be a nice complement to your D25BR. I have a '71 D35 and I love it, feather light and super resonant.I like your thinking, but too small a body for me. I was thinking another dread...
I have owned 3 D35s. I sold them all. Not sure my issue with that particular model. How about a late '60s or early '70s D35? This would be a nice complement to your D25BR. I have a '71 D35 and I love it, feather light and super resonant.
I also like Sandy's recommendation of a D40 Traditional. I played one once at a store and it was the ultimate scalloped bracing acoustic. If you like the scalloped bracing sound.
Maybe you just need another BR : ) For alternate tunings!I have owned 3 D35s. I sold them all. Not sure my issue with that particular model.
I am not ashamed to admit that I think about getting a 2nd BR. I wanted to buy one of Mavs older models at the time lolMaybe you just need another BR : ) For alternate tunings!
My first bass was a Vox "violen" bass (circa 1971). It played like buttah but sounded like butt. Went to an Epi solid body with same result. Finally bit the bullet and bought a brand new '72 Fender Jazz Bass -- didn't sound much better. I don't think the problem was had anything to do with any of the basses.but it plays like buttah...
My playing bass phase ended a couple months ago. I mean it's ok when jamming with others, but solo, it's quite boring. My first bass was a Vox "violen" bass (circa 1971). And with regard to dessert, "life is short, play a Guild first."Guilds are like desserts: "there always room" for one.
Better it should play like a guitar.but it plays like buttah...
