I should be more embarrassed about this than I am

So I pick up the M-38 from my luthier tonight after a set up. I'm looking at the bill and I see it says that my guitar is an M-36. Simple mistake, no problem. Then I check. Ooops. Turns out the M-38 I thought I was buying really is an M-36. "How does one make that mistake", I asked myself. I answered "Because you're a dummy". I was playing them both in the store, while thinking to myself that it's nuts that the 36 was cheaper than the 38. I'm still not sure why that 38 was stuck in my head, but I know it's one hell of a guitar anyway, and at $1500 and change, I'm still happy with the deal I got.

Fire away. I deserve it. :D :D :D

We learned JP's "Hello in There" at my first class Monday night. Seems so appropriate about now.

Take a pen, make that 6 an 8 and it will be like it never happened. Heck, I used to do this to report cards ALL the time.

Just don't try and sell it as a 36, unless it's to someone like you ....

Tony - we have all done stuff like this. Well not me personally .... ya right !!

Great story, Tony! :D You're a true guitar lover, obviously. M-36, M-38, what the heck, Tony doesn't care about the model number - how's it sound and feel? You remind me of me

While some John Prine songs are just plain good, "Hello In There" is revered. One of his defining songs, and the lyrics are timeless.

I still bought the guitar I wanted :)
That's all that matters.
Hope you enjoy it for a long, long time. :D :D
I'm gonna have to. I think I'm out of the new guitar business for a while. It was worth it :)

I see M-36 or M-38's go for between $1800-2300 in our neck of the woods, so if it doesn't need a neck reset (like a lot of those older ones do) then YOU got a heck of a deal!!! Congradulations!! I think the only difference is three piece vrs. two piece back?

But the real question is... is it an "M" or a "0000"?

Those pesky M body styles, Tony.... they'll get you every time.

I'm glad you said that Paddle, I've been at a complete loss here. :)
