I just got through watching a one hour J. Prine concert on Austin City Limits. It was really good and got me feeling a bit melancholy I guess. I sure do miss this guy. I likely saw him in concert about 20 times in Wisconsin and the Detroit area and never got tired of any of his material. I just think he was a primo song writer and the world was a better place when he was with us.

Hear you, Richard. Cycle of life I'm afraid, right? 
Hands-down my favorite singer/songwriter. Like I said before, he wouldn't have known me from Adam, but when he died I felt like I lost one of my closest friends.
JP made a deep connection with people of all kinds. His honest, heartfelt music and his sense of humor made him seem like an old buddy. The world is a lesser place without him.
