Back from my weekend fishing in Yellowstone, and shot a few quick pics of the new addition last night:
Front
I haven't gotten a decent pic of the silking on the soundboard yet, but it's as nice as my D-55...
Back
Love the grain in that rosewood!
Hairline crack in bridge
I can't see any underlying structural cause, and the bass side pins were REALLY tight (largest was 0.228"). That's where the cracks are, so I really think the pins were the culprit. I think a little superglue should be all she needs.
I've been playing her a bit since she came home. Busted a string taking the bridge pics last night, so restrung her with JP PB lights... great volume and tone!
I'll get the bridge stabilized, and she'll need a new nut (it's a little rough cut), compensated bone saddle (intonations very good already, tho'), and some new bone pins... she's definitely a keeper!
