I've managed some pretty interesting buildings in my time. Most if not all were in financial trouble. Factories, dreadful inner city dwellings, large suburban apartment complexs, office and retail centers etc.

Troubled assets are my forte. Work with a lot of Lenders. I've managed and sold the tallest buildings in Syracuse and Buffalo and the largest privately owned building in Albany.

I am going to tour a building tomorrow that was home to some serious skunk works during the cold war. I am sure Frono may remember the stories.

This is where the U-2 and satellite recon films were produced, and after the "mission", returned for development. From what I was told, the film cannisters were jettisoned from the U-2 or satellite, parachute would deploy and then they would be intercepted, IN AIR, by Naval or USAF aviators..then sent back to the Flower City for development prior to being turned over to the CIA/US Gov. Declassified in the late 90's or early 2000's, (from what I remember), the mystery of Hawkeye was reveled for the first time to the citizens.

I toured it a few years back with the former Corporate owner and I am going through again with the current Lender. Almost 760,000 s/f of Art Deco Industrial cool.

The first thing that comes to my mind with industrial, semi-industrial or government properties is brownfields, i.e. contaminated sites. Even the ones you don't think would have contamination... do. Glad I got out of that whole thing in the 1980s.

This has it all...along with a very recent large water main break that has caused some serious issues with the cliff in the picture.

Now all I can think about is the ground giving way followed by the building collapsing and sliding down the cliff! o_O
