After a few years of patiently looking for one, I finally found a used M-75 in great shape for a great price, woohoo!! It's a black 2014 in 9/10 condition, with the original case, and I paid 550 Euros for it.

It still has the previous owner's flatwound 12 strings on it, and a matching ebony saddle that's compensated for a wound G. I have ordered an ebony saddle for a plain G for it, and I'll be putting mu usual 11 rounds on the guitar as soon as that gets here.

I'm loving it so far, super happy I found a black one! (I have a black NS X175 and a black 61 SFIII with DeArmonds too) 20231214_010126.jpg

Nice, congrats Walter! It might be a good candidate for the Novak Franz pickups.
That's exactly what I was already thinking....but I tweaked it a little to my own taste this afternoon an annoyed the neighbours some through some tweed and black , and I'm really liking the stock pickups so far!

Billy DLite did a comparison of his vintage Aristocrat and the early NS Aristocrat and his demo and opinion said they were very close in tone performance. I don't have the link to that comparison but it can be tracked down.

I do have one question for the forum : did the Korean M75's always have pinned "bridge feet"? Mine does : superficially, it looks like it has the vintage model's floating metal "cups" as bridge feet under the height adjustment wheels....but it doesn't.
There's a metal pin underneath that cup that fits into a hole in the guitar's top. Works great, not a problem, but I was under the impression the first couple reissue years (mine is a '14) had the vintage style cups, no pin.

Ah, OK, so I didn't dream that, good.

The pinned feet do work of course, but they severely limit my choice of wood bridge saddles - to the extent I'll probably end up having one made with the right compensation for my choice of string gauge and the built-in bridge slant.
And the same post hole spacing and -size as the supplied tune-a-matic.
Oh boy..

The bridge saddle that was on the guitar when I got it turned out to be some kind of synthetic material (!), and it's compensated for a wound G. The original TOM was in the case pocket.

I bought a black one new when they first came out and I tend to remember it came with both a wooden and adjustomatic bridge. The "gold feet" were fully floating.

Nice and congrats, that's exactly what I'm looking for, too. I mean, if I was in need.....

Very nice Walter! Looks sharp. What is it about this model / year that put you on the hunt?

That's pretty simple : a few memorable encounters with 50's aristocrats had me wanting one really bad, and I just plain cannot afford a vintage one. So I went looking for the next best thing - a reissue.
I'm not too crazy about how sunburst looks in supershiny polyester, and I like black guitars, so I was lucky to find this barely used one at a great price.

You could try acid-free photo squares.

I actually did try those at first, but the bridge was still a little skitteryish until I fixed the alignment of the tailpiece. It used to pull a little to the treble side, but I put some felt under one side to relalign it.
