First about the marriage - I have a friend - his wife is my friend, too - what is easy way to say that in english?

Anyway - they met at their teens - both never dated before - so for both of them it was The First Time - and after all thes years - 50+ - they are still together.

I'm on my second round since 31+ years - there'll be no more rounds - we stick together. - w Jymy The Dog


About not lusting more guitars anymore - nearly two years ago I realized that I just dont want to fix or deal with open-reel studio tape-recorders anymore - and I have been almost passionate about them since 1972 or so. I suppose enough is enough - and the biggest relief comes from admitting it. Of course one leaves heards of folks crying after you - "because who will do it from now on?" etc.

But it is my life - you have yours - we all have our lifes - and are not obligated to explain our decisions to others.

@ladytexan put it succinctly when we were discussing our divorces when she said that there's basically only two kinds of marriages, ones where the couples grow together, and ones where they grow apart. Sadly mine was one of the latter, but that's not surprising, given that we were two completely different people to begin with. It also didn't help that one of us was living in an upper middle class fantasy world (quite a few of our friends were pretty well to do), and one wasn't. And one of us was comfortable being in debt up to her eyeballs, and then there was me. From what little I've heard, she's still that way, which isn't surprising. I haven't bought anything I couldn't pay for outright ever since she left.

Anyway, best of luck with the downsizing Richard. You got a chance to play most of the great Guilds and then some. I have no doubt the final keepers that make the cut will keep you happily playing music and that is what’s most important.
