I grew up in a really rural area in NW Wisconsin. I now live in a really rural area of NE Michigan. In both cases, the folks that live there/here are for the most part. really good people with good hearts. But, in both places there was a preponderance of pretty rigid, redneck thinking. Not eveil, just uninformed.

I promised myself I would try to be accepting of everyone I met and I think for the most part I've achieved that. However, today I found out I'm not as good a guy as I thought I was.

I "gots too many guitars". I'm sure I'm not alone in that, especially on this forum. I have my more expensive/valuable guitars in their cases and tuned down a whole step. They all have ID tags so I can always figure out where everything is, however , there was no order to it.

Yesterday and today, I decided to get it all organized . However, when I was all done, I noticed I had segreagated all of my illegal aliens (Martin, Blueridge, Epiphone, Epiphone Masterbilt etc.) into one area of my music room.

I know in my heart I shouldn't have done that but I just can't fine it in me to change it. I like knowing where everything is.

So, sue me I guess.

I don't think there is anything wrong with your organization scheme. As long as you know where they are and what's what, you're good to go.

OMG, what a bad person you are, Richard! Although, I guess I am worse -- I went ahead and deported all my Epiphone acoustics.

I’ve lost all respect now.

I’m all for inclusion, so my acoustics, electrics, & mandolins can be found commiserating under one big tent. It’s a ‘60s thing.

You should be ashamed but I will join you. The basses are separated from the guitars in the rack at La Casa de Fronobulax. And the only non-Guild instrument often is excluded from the rack.

I hope you at least filed for a work visa for your offshore guitars w/ the State Dept.

The only non domestic instruments allowed in my house are my violins and they are too small and fragile to ever put up a fight, but I do keep them secured in their cases! I wouldn't have it any other way. :geek::cool:

I love older cheap imports on a select basis. I keep the True Americans away from them so they don't end up feeling bad.

I don't do comparisons between the Yamaki and Guilds because they don't go well for the Guilds at all, consequently both these 70's MIJ guitars are for sale, but secretly hoping they never sell.

You could say I have been actively chercher la femme guitar for quite some time. My only regret is not buying more, a lot more.

And I always keep them separated.

My acoustics are arranged by age, oldest to the right, newest to the left. Gibson, National, Martin, Guild and Huss & Dalton. One big happy family.

However, my electrics are all on the opposite side of the room.

You're a good guy, Richard!! I say organize any way you want!! (I was really expecting something EVIL)

I'm soooo disappointed in myself. I've been waiting daily for my truck's odometer to turn 111,111. And then got crazy busy and distracted and I looked down and it was 111,128!! I didn't even get a photo of all the ones..... l guess we all fail at something..... :p
