"Used to be people had to leave to find jobs, until guitars, alleviating poverty"

"Industrial park makes 6 million guitars a year, people are even playing them."

The largest guitar making center in the world, all in the last 10 years.

"China has been the biggest guitar maker in the world for a while now" to the tune of Greensleeves.

"Sometimes the customers don't even know what they want" ;]

Oh my. That's amazing. I wonder if the local high school rock band dudes smoke dope behind the guitar billboard after school?

And let's not forget the rich literary and historical tradition which has inspired countless kung fu movies over the decades. The costumes, to die for!

And then there's Bruce Lee.
And Anna May Wong.

I mostly think we shouldn't treat the early all mahogany D25s as the same model as the spruce topped/arched back version.

I'm wholly onboard with Oxnard using D20 as the designation for the all mahogany dreadnought. Sidebar: I am completely off-board with their decision to call 17" jumbo F40. I consider this an affront to everything I believe in.

Luckily they made enough of them that there's always a few available if you want one.

I have it on good authority they have made a boatload, but no one seems to know how big a boat.

D 25s show up fairly regularly on my local craigslist for $700-900. 90s mostly. It has been a long time since an early D25 in need showed up for $500-600.

I put this question to the new AI program "ChatGPT." Got a similar answer. Still, pretty amazing AI program!

I asked: How many Guild D25 guitars were made?

ChatGPT answered (in about 2 seconds): I'm sorry, I don't have that information. The exact number of Guild D25 guitars that were made is not publicly available. The D25 model was produced for many years, and the number of guitars produced in a given year can vary. Additionally, the company has changed ownership multiple times over the years and production numbers may not have been well-documented.

Pretty much nailed it, huh? 😲

Well, now we know where AI needs improvement. Learn to estimate production numbers based on comparing serial numbers of resale D25s and so forth.
