Love the deep faith there in Leaf nation. There's commitment for you.
Canucks could do it all this year.
NHL in Hamilton? Probably ain't going to happen for many years if ever. We were screwed when Ottawa got the franchise, literally as we were the only bidding city that had met all of the pre qualifications. Mainly an owner with deep pockets, Ron Joyce, Mr. Tim Horton, a fully operational area, Copps Coliseum, needs work now but was quite new at the time, and Ottawa didn't even have a shovel in the ground on their arena, and a solid commitment of ticket sales, over 15,000 season tickets pre-sold.
Sour grapes, sure, why not? This area can support an NHL franchise much better than several of the floundering franchises out there now, but the philosophy is to Amercanize the game where Americans really don't care about it.
Remember FoxTrax? Give me a break!
