I think context might affect how we react to this. If this was presented to us as a scene from a hip musical in NYC, as new musical theater, or maybe a one-person performance on stage as part of a larger solo piece, we might have a different opinion about it.

It definitely demands uninterrupted attention, and I wouldn't choose it as music to toss a frisbee around on a summer afternoon. But I thought it was pretty cool for what it was.
