Hi everyone

As I'm new to this group I thought that I would introduce myself. My name is Geoff, I'm 55, live in the UK and I've always had a bit of a love affair with Guilds. I cuurently own a 2009 F512, which I absolutely love. I also play a Martin SP0016-TR which I also love. I guess I just love guitars! I used to play in a covers band but have mostly played in folk bands. Currently I play in an 'Irishy' band doing charity concerts for a local charity called 'York Against Cancer'.

Anyway that's enough - looking forward to reading the posts.

Regards

Geoff

Welcome
You will fit in very well.
A Geeser with a Guild.
That makes up most of us here.
By the way, you just qualified at age 55.

yeah, and he drives on the wrong side of the road, too

Welcome, Geoff! I used to own an F-512 too, I know what you mean. Sounds like you have two real sweetheart acoustics there. Boy, that's two opposite extremes on guitar body size  Gotta love a 000 though. :D

And blessings to you for your work with York Against Cancer!

Welcome Geoff, and thank you for giving of yourself and using your talent to help others through music. There are others here who also play for charities, hospice, and senior health facilities, and find great personal reward in that giving. Once again, well done sir and welcome. Now if you’ll excuse me, I suddenly feel the need to blow the dust off of a Neil Young album and give it a spin.

“I'm a black bat, babe - Banging on Your window pane…”

Welcome Geoff, from the great Pacific Northwest.
You're in good company here, since we ALL have love affairs with Guild guitars, sometimes bordering on lust, as well.
Together we can deal with our collective malady.

Welcome Jeff, from another UKer, I used to own a Martin SP00016TR had it for 10 years and it was a lovely small guitar both in looks and sound they are a guitar you very rarely come acros. I sold it for a Larrivee L09 which I didn't really get on with but I remedied the situation nicely and got a big old Guild Dread that I'm over the moon with, thanks to another Forum member.
