Coolest tuners ever!
They are Walter! So much so that someone removed the original ones from the guitar, it came to me with gold grovers w/ the extra screws installed in the open holes. Located a set of the originals and fixed that immediatly...

Hey, Pike... Looks like the G-string tuner on your D-60 is a little off kilter.

And what are those tuners on the D-66?

The good news is that the Kluson brand is making them again ("Kluson Waffleback" tuners, WD music stocks them), bad news is they're about $150 a set!

Could be Chazmo... that one's gone so I can't take a look.

I've seen them Walter, they're not the same as the Gotohs on the D66.

There is a possibility of peace in our time.
Taken about a year ago, mine is in the middle, the other two belong to my partners in the trio.

FNG, that deco headstock is really something! Do you have a "money shot" of the whole guitar to share? Wow!

Here's the pic jazz posted..

It's a 97 Deco, I believe it was the NAMM show model for that year. It was built in the Nashville custom shop, signed label, etc, when Benedetto ran the shop. Hans told me how many were built, but I forget the exact number. Less than 20 that year I think. A very elegant guitar. It had a center seam split I had repaired, and it has a couple finish checks on the front and a couple minor dings, but in pretty nice shape other than that. More pics in my sign link.

The custom shop made some fine geetfiddles. Had a chance at a 45th Anniversary awhile back, for sale by a member here. http://westerlyguildguitars.com/guitars ... rsary.html The guitar is the one in the bottom pics.....Should have snagged that one. Never seen a Finesse for sale, never seen another Deco for sale either..got this one off of a random craigslist ad search...

Gorgeous, and you do have the rubber tubing covered with a fabric or leather sleeve, don't you? If not , time is now as the rubber does eat finish, as does vinyl...thats why not to use a vinyl strap...gotta keep these babies, cared for. Sterffan

That reminds me of my guitars.
That's why I go by Taylor Martin Guild.
It was also a nice name for my trio.

Are we talking just Guild headstocks or all headstocks? I have a confession to make. I bought my Guild largely because of the headstock inlays. That was my initial attraction into the brand, and now that I've played it, I realized that beauty is more than skin deep. I've got a fever, and the only prescription is more Guilds!

I must say that I find myself at an atypical loss for words. These headstocks are at once incredibly beautiful and almost humbling. We're looking at some incredible craftsmanship here, folks.

My, oh my,
