And if you want the full dose of pain, you can even purchase this masterpiece.

Well, that's certainly one way to reduce the weight of an LP.

Issa duck, right?? I'm with Kurt, it's kinda fun and I think it's a duck. I like ducks.....

Yeah at first sight it reminded me of a fat duck too! Hilarious 😂 But at a closer look the sculpture reveals itself as a pile of :poop:

Now go unsee it 😅

Might be a Parsimian-Galtier-Shedooba Octo 8, if so the date is
about right. Extremely rare guitars, shapes were based on classic pseudo-nouveau symbol and
number proportion.

I like this line from the seller: "Clearly the person who did the modifications had better craftsmanship skills than judgement."

Yes that's a good line, but very untrue I'm afraid. Turns out that Trogly's did a review on this guitar yesterday, only based on the pictures, but informative nontheless:

Call me weird but I kind of like it!

Yeah, me too. I can hate that this was done to a vintage Les Paul, and there were still a lot of drugs being done in the '70s, but it was pretty well done. If this wasn't a Les Paul people would be all over the vintage weirdness.

That's what I like about you guys and this forum so much, everywhere else on the internet this guitar provokes projections of hate and irony (and I admittedly wanted to ride this train too), but you give the guy credit for his craftmanship and vintage weirdness. (y)

I am so used to the athmosphere in other forums that only now it's dawning on me how poisoned my mind is sometimes... It's always easyer to laugh at someone than to try to really and unbiasedly understand...

Because this has - even as link - been too much - I delete it.

Ruedi can edit his post, too.

Thank you and sorry for inconvinience.

Let's add a NSFW tag to that, Nuuska. I know we in the US tend to be prudish, but here we are.

Also I claim blue as my mod color.
:) Crap... that looks like a link... Red next time? Eh... so much effort...

It took me a LONG time to not jump on every negative bandwagon. It's a hard habit to break. It's very easy to disparage something without further thought and it's very easy to jump onto any bandwagon. We are social creatures, and having an unpopular opinion takes the ancient part of our brains to a place where we're not a part of the group in a time when those in groups tended to survive.

As an aside, I came to this realization after getting a negative review of one of my books. I'd had something like 30 5-star reviews and when someone left a 2-star review it crushed me. Then I thought, why? Why does this one person have so much power over me? I did some reading on the topic and came to the conclusion I wrote above. Negativity has great power as is evidenced in our modern society. When negativity gets coupled with popularity, dangerous things can happen (no politics!).

Ha! Sounds like me reading student evaluations. 24 greats and one sucks and I'm bothered by it! Then I finally realized that faculty with 24 sucks and 1 great are still teaching! So I decided to try to let it go.

Back to the OP, I like the back more than the front. I think it's because the front so obviously looks like a demented LP that it's hard to wrap my head around the work done.
