Hardly anybody ever gives the logistics guys the credit they deserve, except the guys who got the stuff they needed to use...and supply trucks were BIG targets for planes, while Germany could still get any in the air, anyway.
Not necessarily the comparatively "cushy" job some folks might imagine.
