I imagine somebody out there would like to try these. In your guitar room, you could install a rod to put hangers on.

(Coastie, please no comments about rods, hangers, and the closet.)
Coastie's in the closet?
Funny thing, I keep my guitars in the closet but I don't hang 'em up, I keep 'em in their cases.
Standing up, handle out, easy to grab.
DON'T go there.

I'm like Al, in that I keep my cases in my closet. However, my guitars are not in them.....
Thought your house was your guitar case?
It is, Al. It is. We all live here in this big humidified case.... the people, the guitars and cases, even a bird.

I wonder what what material they used for the "padding" that actually contacts the neck?

Hmmm... looks like the bodies could "swing" and bump each other. I have no closet space anyway!

That's my primary objection to hanging guitars at all.
Besides, lethal injection's much more humane.

Here's a review done by fretbase (2009) for the single hanger model.

LT,

I'm glad they recommend that for long-term storage we should keep our guitars in their cases. I've had worries about the lining of the case harming the finish of the guitar. Now I know that I shouldn't worry.

I really don't feel that it's kosher for the guitar's neck/headstock, to hang the instrument in that manner.
Stored in a fitted case, with proper support is the method that I feel is best....of course, a guitar stand which supports the instrument and the guitar's neck is also OK by me.
No factual/technical data available to support my beliefs, just a common sense opinion. :)

By the by: what really jerks my chain are these nitwits who drill a hole in the headstock of a Guild or even a Harmony git, for that matter, and then hang it on a nail. :x

Not for me! I don't like the idea of seven-Guilds-a-swinging.
It's just another way to hide something that I'd rather see in the open, where I can grab one as I walk by.
Closets are for clothes and/or whatever else you don't want/need to see.
