Really nice! He probably likes the evenness of volume across all strings. And I mean all of them.

Interesting!
To accomodate his string bending the top string is about where the G string would normally be on a regular guitar, so he can bend the top string without butting up against any others. That and the scalloped fretboard allow for some pretty dramatic pitch bending, like with a sitar or sarod.
