Very Cool videos! Thanks for sharing these.

Anyone know - Are these Standard models? As opposed to the Traditional series.

Edit: The lack of the Chesterfield on the headstock, does appear to make them Standard models.

From what I see on the Guild web site they do appear to be from the Standard series. In fact, I think he demo'd the entire Standard series. Makes me want to drive down to my favorite guitar shop and buy a new Guild right now!

I truly appreciate the way James Nash did this review. It is probably the best review I’ve ever seen for any make of guitar. But being Guilds, well, that didn’t hurt ether! But putting Guild aside for the moment, I truly felt the host gave a fair comparison between the guitars and did a good job in explaining the different body styles and tone woods in the brief amount of time allotted. :D

It’s been a wild month hasn’t it? Guild sending out email news letters to many of us, the announcement of the Standard series, some Guild guitar ads in magazines, promotional giveaway of a D-50, now this review with all 6 of the Standard series? Could it be that FMIC is trying to put Guild back on the map with Taylor and Martin? Hey, I can dream can’t I.....

I am late to this thread, and to the video, but just wanted to add my agreement that it's well done, informative, and even entertaining.

I thought Nash did a particularly good job of demonstrating the rosewood vs. mahogany differences.

Guild is probably quite pleased with this vid!

Probably confirms what a lot of folks here feel about the two woods. There's no doubt about the beauty of rosewood, but boy those 'hogs sure do sing, don't they? :D

Good video for future reference,
Joe

They can be at least as pretty, too.
