First, let me say I enjoy coming to LTG each day to geek out on Guild guitars.

I remembered a post about the Orpheum model and the New Hartford factory tour. And how Sandy @twocorgis mentioned Jason McIntyre signed a lot of the Orpheum and Custom Shop guitars from New Hartford. So, I got my little mirror out to check my F-47, and there was Jason's signature. I didn't find any signature on the F-30 standard. I'm guessing they didn't sign the standard models.

Okay, I know it's just an F-47. But finding that signature made it feel just a little bit more special.

I hope you got to geek out on some cool Guild guitars today too.

Jason's sig is under the top of every Custom Shop guitar I've seen from New Hartford, but not on any of my others. He told me that he played a big part in the resonators as well (and loved making them), but I think I'd have to take the cone out to see if his sig is there on mine.

Yeah, that's pretty cool. Yairi was cool like that, signing all his guitars. I see you've got one of those, too. (y)

Yeah, I was doing a little geeking with my F512 earlier, prepping to make another attempt at a video...

You see him here starting 20:23 and about a minute later at 21:25 signing a top!

I really miss those days. Jason and I got to know each other pretty well over the course of four factory tours and being friends on Facebook, and he (and a lot of others there) got a raw deal. He's now a "house husband", and has a beautiful family.

Hm, I know he generally only signed special runs, wonder if that would include the 512 that was the grand prize at LMG 1, it would probably indicate that it was already designated as the Big One, I'll have to check.

It's possible, but AFAIK Jason only signed the Custom Shop or GSR models. It's possible he signed under the top of my resonator, but I'm not going to take it apart to find out. He did tell me that the resonators were his favorite guitars to make.

Ooh. I’ve got three Guild resonators. I’ve taken my R30 apart but not the R35S or R37S. Now I’ll need to remember to look because that would be a wonderful easter egg!
