Hi,

anyone knows the real value of a good condition 1970 Guild Stereo?
I read that basically it's a S100 with a switch that costed like 100 bucks in that period.

so i supped the value is around 1300/1400 $.

am i wrong?

I won't offer a price because I really don't know what the market for an S-100 is, but I will offer the opinion that being stereo should not raise the price and might even lower it because that is one more thing to go wrong. So I'd value it the same as an S-100 in similar condition.

Nah, man a $700 would've been a steal. When the price is outrageous it's a rippoff. In this case it's even worse than that. I can't find words to describe such ridiculous pricing.

But this will not help you to get a guitar...Every seller can ask whatever price he likes to ask. You don't have to buy it. If he finds no buyers he can keep it, or price it lower.
If you are angry or not does not matter to the seller.
So you need to be patient, even if you don't want to. Sooner or later you will find a good S100 according to your dream.
Insomma, abbiate pazienza... :)

Everyone has the right to ask whatever they wish... and they have the right to go to their grave owning that particular item, so that the spouse or children sell it for whatever the market may bear at that time.
In our auction business, I constantly have people coming in with items they can't sell. "I put this on Craigslist and didn't get one call!"
When I tell them the reason it didn't sell, and they didn't get any calls, is that they were at double or triple the market value they usually look at me like I'm out of my mind and not the expert they sought out. As the poet Mr. Simon wrote, "A man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest...."
