I forgot all about that song, and it certainly did play a lot in 1974. I would have never guessed that it was played on a Guild F50r guitar. What a great sound.

GREAT song!! Lots of memories there. Take off the second pickguard and you'd have a really nice guitar..... hate the double pickguards. Why would anyone do that unless you're Ritchie Havens? Oh well..... to each his own. :wink:

Well since he's a lefty, maybe it's a righty guitar that he added a second pickguard to and he couldn't take off the original one since it's under the finish?

That's an interesting point - a variation on that theory is he was having trouble finding a lefty guitar he liked, and the double pickguard model works just as well. Or he simply liked this one, and the double pickguard worked for him.

But I agree that it certainly may be because he is a lefty.
