I've just bought a Guild Peregrine. It's a superb instrument, but while the volume control works just fine the tone control slider seems to have no effect on the tone. I've checked wiring and solder connections and everything seems to be in order.
In common with other Peregrine guitars it is fitted with a Fishman Acoustic Matrix Natural 1 active pickup. Fishman's user information for this pickup recommends 20K volume and tone pots and a 0.068uF capacitor. My Peregrine has 10K pots and a 0.1uF capacitor, and as far as I know this is normal for Peregrine guitars. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
Also can anyone tell me the date and place of manufacture? The serial number is PRC309022.
