One of the guys on the Guild FB page like the DV72-DV76 series, so he had his luthier do this to his D55. Thoughts? I think I like it.

One of kind for sure.

BUT, he does indeed have a unique guitar. It does appear to be well done. I wish I could enlarge the picture. Anyone know how to do that?

Drag the picture to your desktop (or do a screen print) , and then hit the + button. Clarity will be lost as the picture gets larger.

Only possible in tv-detective series - thay can enlarge anything while adding pixels that were not there to begin with.

I wish I had one of them flashlights they hold - when they arrive the crime-scene after 30 serarch-experts have spent hours - they immediately spot a small cigarette filter on stadium grass and say : "Look - it has the DNA of the suspect!"

Where can I buy one - or a dozen ?

For pictures hosted on LTG the picture size, and the possibility of enlarging it, are determined by the original upload.

Almost any image from your browser can be saved and manipulated locally but doing so usually results in a loss of clarity. You are not zooming and thus using more pixels from the original. You are instead changing how much of your screen each pixel takes.

I need better vocabulary for the difference between displaying the same number of pixels in a larger screen area and displaying more pixels from the original in the same or larger screen area.

I wish I could enlarge the picture.

Upload a "bigger" version?

It reminds me of an attempt at a DV73 rosette, without the onyx and coral. I can't decide if I like it or not, but will say it appears to me to be well done too Tom. It's hard for me to see the fret marker arrows, but I wonder if those were changed to match as well? Anyone's eyes better than mine? I would think most of yours are.:)

You know, as I get older it occurs to me that it really doesn't matter what I think. If a Taylor or a Kay or an Olsen or a Guild makes an individual happy, even if it has blinking lights inlaid in it, all that matters is that it's present owner likes it. Regardless of it being a $100 or $100,000 guitar. :)
