Hello,
Was wondering if anyone has info on this guitar. (Guild D-100NT CRV)
Serial # AD100010 stamped on back.
Inside label says D-100 NT CRV w/serial # AD100010
Made in Westerly.
Was told it's a 1995, but Guild lists the first 1995 D-100NT CRV as AD100015.
Supposedly didn't make this model in 1994.
Thx for any info,
Charlie

IIRC the Guild serial numbers can be iffy. Could it be possible it was made at the very end of 94? Hans would know

Just wondering about the ser #, as it is not on any guitar dater lists.
Very unique guitar with the carved heel and bling!

Welcome to LTG! The serial number list is wrong in those years, the D-100 with hand carved heel exists since 1990 already (with different serial number prefix), so your one should be a 1994 one. Hans Moust is in the process producing the updated list in his second book.

I don't have a 1994 catalog, just this 1992 sheet:

The January 1994 price list shows her for $ 3,899:

Hi Charlie. I can't remember for sure, but check the neck block. The date may be stamped there (usually on the treble side)

Hey Rich,
You are right!
Date made is April 15th, 1994.
THX
Hi Iceman, Welcome aboard!

Technically, that's not the "Born on Date", but only the date the rim was finished. Actual completion of the instrument was anywhere from a couple of weeks to a couple of months later depending on things like model's popularity.

That's interesting, So, I could safely say that it was made in1994, probably in May.

This D-100C does have a few issues, but nothing that bothers me!
The person who owned it didn't like it enough to take good care of it.
Top crack below the bridge that has been repaired and cleated.
Had a neck reset and refretted, but now near perfect (great repair job).
Has a great neck angle and is perfectly straight.
The bridge was reglued, probably at same time.
Everything else is in great shape.
Not many nicks or bumps.
Has OHSC too!
It took me 50 years of buying, selling and trading to get to this point.
My first Guild was a 67 Hoboken D-40 that I bought from Elderly instruments in East Lansing, MI.
when I was going to school at MSU. Paid $175.
Sold it recently for $1700 and bought a D-50CE, because I prefer rosewood to Hog in my old age.
Many others in between that I wish I had back.....movin on.
I got too many guitars and not enough time.....so they say!!

If you like the D-100C, be on the lookout for an JF-100 someday. :) -- Charlie (the enabler). :D :D
