I need help dating an artist award so I'm coming to the pros. I tried to do it online and am having a brain fart. The serial is ja100384.

The way i read the online lists is the last one for 1993 is JA100379 and for 1994 they started with AA. What am I missing?

Thanks in advance cause you all always come through!

Hello lavern23,

You didn't miss anything. It's the serial number chart you're looking at that's not complete.

Your Artist Award with ser. # JA100384 is from 1993.

Sincerely,

Hans Moust

Well I bought the AA. It showed up today. Was described as "absolutely mint" and I also spoke with the owner and she said "mint without a mark". It made it through shipping safe and sound but it's definatley not mint. Has some real good dings, deep indents, and finish missing on the edges of the headstock. The pickguard screws on the edge of the body of the guitar don't hold it tight enough to keep the pickguard from flopping. I contacted the seller and she said "it's mint for 15 years old".

She said she didn't think returning it was an option. I opened a case w/eBay. This should be fun!

It's really a let down. It's in good condition but not as described. Wouldn't have gave what I did had I seen in person.
