I am not sure if this is the right place for a introduction but…

Hi I am Mike. I have been playing guitars for about 3 years now for the second time. You see I started back in my college days and played for about 4 years. I stopped and raised a family and well you know how the story goes.

I have been playing a Taylor and Martin for a couple of years now and have been satisfied. However I have alway had the hankering to own a Guild. Problem is that their are no guild dealers around, so I have never bought one. now I have found the WWW and have found some nice Guilds to buy.

The first time I came to know Guild was when I went to see Steve Goodman way back when. I have wanted one ever since.

Hey Mike, welcome to LTG. There's a lot of information here and tons of opinions. Taylor and Martin both make very nice guitars. I don't own a Martin but... I suppose that could change. You'll find plenty of help in acquiring a Guild here or exploring your options. Just let us know what you're interested in. If you're gonna buy used there's a ton of options. I'm rambling. Welcome to LTG Mike! If you tell us what style of guitar you are looking for we can for sure give you ideas. (Acoustic: 6 string? 12 string? / Electric: solid body? archtop? - just to start with). Maybe a good idea is to look though the official Guild webpage and just limit the kind of guitars from there. Disregard the prices you see there, they are manufacturer recommended sales prices, street prices are much lower. Also we probably can show you some good deals on used guitars.
