We used to play Sundown in the band. Singing and playing the Bass line as fun!

I just watched a documentary on Lightfoot this past weekend on Prime.

I saw him back in 2017, and he definitely wasn't well then. Hate to say it as I've always been a fan, but the show wasn't very good, and we left at intermission.

Sad news. Gord has been a go to singer/song writer for me since I first picked up a guitar to learn to play back in the mid 1970's. Man I hate this getting old stuff, I just turned 60 this month. The older I get the more people I have to miss, you know what I mean. Family, friends, acquaintances and admired artists.

Always enjoyed "Sundown" and "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald".

Best wishes, Mr. Lightfoot.

I know what you mean. I went to see Gord a number times up through the 1980's, great shows. But in the last 15 or 20 years it wasn't the same voice. But I give him credit for doing it. He has always been an old school performer, the show must go on attitude.

We saw him last April at The Colonial Theatre in Phoenixville, PA.

It was less a Gordon Lightfoot concert and more an offering of love and appreciation from a theater full of fans. He struggled to sing and play, but an occasional spark shone through.
