That's pretty much what I heard, too, when I saw the post. Less is more. One of the guys that made an offer on the house said, I saw the guitar hanger on the wall. Do you have a guitar? Yeah, not just the one, but less than many people I know. The living room was an odd shape and we had really solved the whole issue by creative placement of furniture and artwork that worked really well. I thought we'd leave it but the agent said, "NO!!"

Yeah we spent a year and a half looking at houses with our agent (we love our agent!) and learned a lot. One of the things we learned pretty early on is to just not see things like hanging guitars as a problem. Now, a giant poster or painting on the wall? I want to see the wall behind it. Guitars? I would say, “nice” and look for more.

Most things short of structural are easy fixes and just become haggling points for me.
