Does anyone have a suggestion for a gigbag for an Artist Award? The head stock doesn’t fit in my Reunion Blues. Thanks

Seeing the words "Gigbag" and "Artist Award" in the same sentence scares me!
this, but I'd want a bag too. why don't you give some measures so we can help better.
maybe this:
might work. I love my Mono vertigo bags.

Guild Acoustic Premium Gig Bag would fit. I have one I use occasionally with my F50, just tried it with my AA and it fits perfectly. I imagine the Guild Acoustic Deluxe jumbo size would work, too, but doesn't have the same padding as the Premium.

It is your choice of course but maybe gigs are the events where a case is needed the most ?

Depends upon the gig. The risks to the instrument are much different in a concert like setting where there is a backstage area compared to a bar where the audience has access to the "stage".

My bag vs. case experience comes from gigging with a tuba and the choice was almost always determined by transportation. The tuba in HSC was comparable in size to a 2x15 bass cabinet. The key differences are that the tuba did not weight 110lbs and did not have wheels on the case. If bus or subway and/or walking more than a few feet or navigating stairs was involved then it was always the gig bag or getting help. Similarly many of the vehicles available to me could carry the driver and the HSC or the driver, a passenger and the gigbag.

Obviously the choices won't be quite as extreme with a guitar but there have been posts from guitarists needing a gig bag or a case with shoulder straps because they were walking with the instrument to get where they needed to be.

I only play Jazz clubs and concerts any more, i would not take the Artist to any bar gig.

I ended up with a Gator Transit GT Jumbo bag, the AA and my 17" seven string both fit the bag. I may have to offload my Mono bag now. Thanks for all the suggestions.

I'd bet there's a decent secondary market for Mono bags in good shape.

If I ever needed a non-aesthetic reason to dislike large headstock guitars, this is as good as any.

i can't imagine using a case at a gig😂

Agreed, I got my first gigbag in the early 90s... it is soooo much easier than wrestling multiple bass cases in a tight bar or club! I've had a heavy duty leather one for 20ish years now. My cases all live in storage in the basement (instruments are on hangers)
