Be great for the city. I used to play down in NYC's Greenwich Village and many times had to walk several blocks with guitar and accessories. Of course I live outside the city and would drive in anyway. It was fun, but I'm glad those days are over.. it was also getting old and was a major reason for me leaving that band.

Babies on Board ;]

PS No need for suspension. Don't over inflate the tires (this is yuge) and put a wadded up king or queen comforter under the guitars, or rollup bed mats, etc.

I used to sling my Yamaha over my back, uncased and barely held on my a dodgy strap, hop on my early '70's 10-speed and ride down to the lake to jam with my buddy Dave. It's miracle that guitar survived and is still in my hands.

I once talked to a Bass player that went on a "Bike Tour" for a summer.
His band all rode bikes to their gigs. They were all somewhat local.
He bought a take down Bass, that allowed the neck to be removed from the body and stored inside the body.
He got or make a trailer to pull his Bass behind him.
