I Like GADs.

A point of grammar: someone's got to post it : )

It is NOT "general consensus"

Consensus by definition is : a general opinion.

There is no such thing as general consensus.

If you plan to spend time here correcting grammar, spelling, general usage, etc., you could be very busy. You'll also unearth a consensus that has nothing to do with guitars. We're very courteous here and we all play well together.

A point of usage: "Someone's got to post it" is incorrect. It should be "someone has to post it."

Just sayin', :rugby:

I say before you go gad, try to snag an old D25, arched. These babies need homes, they are all over eBay. Save an old dog :)

I didn't start the thread but I'm always willing to learn and veer. I say "general consensus" when I am trying to suggest it is an opinion held by a majority of those expressing an opinion. If 30% agreed and the remaining 70% had ten different opinions, I'd say 'consensus' but if 50% agreed I'd probably qualify it with 'general'. I avoid "majority" because there is often a significant difference between majority meaning "more than half" and majority meaning "most" or "greatest". But you are right, "general consensus" is definitely redundant.

If I were in possession of expendable GAS money, I'd be happy to adopt one or two. Problem is that I have to use GAS money to buy gas. :wink-new:

I would still wait and save up for an old Guild D25 on ebay etc before I bought a GAD. I see no reason to go poly if you do not have to. I see daily old d25s going on ebay for cost of new GADs...

I'm pretty sure I was agreeing with you....it's about GAS money, not GAD money, and the gas money is for a different forum. :rugby:
