Got a long scale stringset you just can't live without?
It is a bicycle brake caliper recessed nut. 35mm is the length needed for the E string and G strings (only used it on the E string here). The A and D don't need it of course. Just an idea.
Seems solid. doesn't touch the body of the bass at all.
Time will tell if tuning stability is guaranteed and if nothing fatigues.
