Someone super close to me really likes the Guild D25 Flatback. So I sold it to her for 1 Can of Bud Light beer.

My wife.

Since she had bought a 6 pack the other night, she goes, "well where are my 5 other guitars?"

And so it begins.

Great story....but I WAS on the edge of my seat after reading the title of your post.
Nice wheeling and dealing and everybody wins, and congrats on the Bud Light!
:applouse:

Think she'll let you play it now and then?

I'm with Coastie and Sandy on this one. It's a good guitar and .... it deserves a decent beer, I'd say. Take an IOU for the next time you're somewhere you can get something a little better. I mean, she's probably a great wife but.... beer is important. :stupid:

p.s. - it's always good to have another guitar in the house. Even if you have to drink crappy beer to keep it there. LMAO!!

Do you think she would sell for a 1.75 lit bottle of Mt Gay Rum?

Maybe I need to get Mrs. Fro. to take up bass. She does have pretty good taste in beer...

The topic did have me worried. I am pleased the BR is still in the family.

Yes, I was also ready to say Big Mistake.

But now the only thing I'd question is: a CAN of BUD LIGHT?

Eeewwwww!

Well, the IPAs are just too heavy in my brain these days, it's gettin Tucson hot out here, a light beer ain't too shabby in the hot sun.

The best part is she came to the BR conclusion on her own. It made my day when she told me she was taking it as her own.

Woody, it's pretty funny when you try to drop some good news and everyone criticizes your taste in beer. But that's how we do here. LOL!! :encouragement:

EXCELLENT move there, Woody. You are to be commended. Wise man knows there's a lot more at stake there than the value of the beer. Besides, I happen to always keep a healthy supply of Bud Light around for those days when, one just seems to taste like, well, a couple more!:wink-new:

After all is said and done, lets just agree that the beer (no matter the brand) was a token gesture and the bottom line is that the BR stays home.
I mentioned earlier that it was a win/win situation, and I'm sticking with that. :eagerness:

Nope, I don't agree, Joe. Now, if it'd been an F-50 or an F-4/512, whelp, then Wood should'nt've settled for anything less than a nice ale at least. It's all about the bargaining. :) :)
