So I got this email from Cardoba when I inquired about the Newark St. Electrics made by SPG in South Korea will continue production. To me this is a positive sign, these are as high quality as gretsch pro-line guitars for about half the price. I am hoping we see a few new ones, like a aristocrat with a vibrato, or a starfire III with dynasonics.

Thanks for writing to us! I can assure you that you have nothing to worry about regarding Guild’s electric guitars; production of the Newark Street line will be continuing without missing a beat. As you can imagine, we have received many questions regarding Guild’s future, and I can assure you we’re paying very close attention to the Let’s Talk Guild & Acoustic Guitar Forums and the concerns of the Guild community. We are still working out a lot of the specifics regarding our USA production, and we will continue to share information as the acquisition is completed. We appreciate your patience and your support, and have every intention to remain true to the Guild brand!

Sincerely,

Yes, that's been common knowledge for a while.

Agreed but I have to rate an email as a touch more reliable than press releases so while this is expected it is conformation from a marginally more reliable source :)

Nice to see the CMG brass answering emails. This isn't the first time they have had a thoughtful response to a Guild fan.
