Who made those for Fender? Fujigen or maybe Terada?

The FJ-70 is a late 70s guitar. The serial number starting with 79 could be 1979, I also saw some starting with 78.
On the acousticguitarforum somebody said: "I bought mine brand new in December of ‘78 as a Christmas present...I still have the receipt, $460 with HSC."
FujiGen Gakki only got the Fender contract in 1981/82.
So Terada could have been the manufacturer.

I love the look of them, and they do sound lovely. Should note the b&s are laminated though, not solid RW. I had to sell mine due to the neck profile. More of a v that gave me pains when I played anything other than cowboy chords. I heard they only made them for a short period between 80 and 81, but the anecdote above has been mentioned before so maybe they did make ‘em in 78?

This 80/81 info came from Fender much later and they admitted that recordkeeping was bad at that time. Looking at the 78/79 serial numbers and having the FJ-70 in the 1979 catalog/pricelist proofs this I'd say. The Sep 1, 1978 pricelist didn't show the FJ-70 yet, so I guess she was just introduced in the 4th quarter 1978.

Correct. As the pricelist shows with the "*", only the top is solid sitka spruce on the FJ-70.
