Alright, gang. Here I go. Awesome, clear directions on unpacking the beast are online. Here's my unpack (see the thumbnails below if you're interested)... Taking a little break right now because that stuff is heavy and now it's time to start assembling. This is where I'm at right now.

Looking good! The fenders could be a little longer, especially the front, for better mud protection.

I had a great first ride today. This thing is going to be transformative for me!

First gripe...

During my hill climb (3mi road ride) today, the display was all blotchy and dim. It's a backlit display... The bike had been out in the below-freezing cold for several hours before I took it out.

I'm letting the bike warm up indoors as I install the Airtag in the battery. I'm hoping it'll go back to normal once it warms up.

Speaking of the AirTag. To install it you have to use two different sizes of Allen wrench for bolts that hold the handle in place, and then a jewelers philips screwdriver to take off the plate that holds it in. Check it out...

OK, Apple AirTag now (stealthily) installed in the battery, which itself is key-locked to the bike. Nice. I can track the bike with "Find My" on my iPhone or MacBook.

So, this (below) is either the coolest, silliest, or just stupidest thing I've found associated with my bike... If I rode around here with this folks would think I'm nuts (well, nuttier than they already think I am). You be the judge:

That would be commonplace where I live!

By the way, can you use that bike to jump a barbed-wire fence in Germany?

Honestly? Wow. Seeing it in the Juiced online store just made me laugh.

What would really be great is a bike rack. I mean you need to transport your mountain bike somewhere, right?!?!

By the way, can you use that bike to jump a barbed-wire fence in Germany?

Lost you there, Grot. I presume you're referring to some kind of weird acrobatics?

I do plenty of jumping when I'm riding trails, but nothing (usually) more than 3 or 4 inches. I don't know if this beast will encourage that kind of "active" mountain bike riding or not.

The seating position is more upright than a standard mtn bike, but then that's meant for comfort. Also, this bike has no rear suspension. That's no change for me anyway as I've been riding a Titanium hard tail for many years.
