I've been playing acoustic mostly for the last year. So tonight I broke out the G&L Legacy for the first time in I don't know how long. Longer than the year.
I always loved how the trem never knocked it out of tune, unlike a Fender Strat. But I was surprised to notice that it was perfectly in tune. And I mean, perfect. Not just close or acceptable. Verified with a tuner.

Factory tuning since '93.

Impressive. Usually the only guitars I have that stay in tune like that are the ones with double-locking trems.

That is impressive. Any idea what strings are on it, Chris? It's time for a restring of my Surfliner, and (even though it doesn't have a trem), I'd like to try what you've got on 'em. Also, my son has my/GAD's NS S-100 that he keeps out in his flat in Boston. That's LONG overdue. :D

This thread is as good as any for me to put a G&L on today's play list - the Comanche V Signature. :)

Oh, it wasn't in "factory tune" because I keep them de-tuned when they are stored in their cases.

I'm sure I have my standard D'Addario EXL-110s (10-46) on it.

I'm sure it's a great guitar, but looking at those pickups makes me woozy.

Give me a 1/2 hr w/ any guitar. It WILL require retuning. 😉 🤘🏻😎🤘🏻
I guarantee I can snap the high E string out of a Floyd saddle in a split second.

That said, I bought a 90's shredder guitar with a decent Floyd and locking nut, and it was in tune or very close when I bought it, and stayed perfectly in tune on the same strings for several months, it became a tuning aid - reference - for the other guitars in the house.
