Hi Chazmo

I've noticed I can't add attachments to the forum.

I was doing an a/b and yeah, the 80 model is quite different to "Cap".

Different bridge and I'm not sure if it's an optical illusion but looks to be a bit of a difference in over all body shape.

I've only managed to get one piccie of the body - camera died.

Bub,

Thanks, man. This is a sweet axe. No question!

Bill,

The body shape definitely has changed a bit over time. I even see it between Cap and my '71 Westerly.

I don't know how to do attachments here, but I put my photos up on photobucket.com and put links to the pictures here.

Looking forward to seeing some pix of an '80 version.

Treem,

Glad you're enjoying the "Red" strings. I've seen a lot of mixed reports around the web -- kind of a love it or hate it scenario.

I still have my set from page 1 of this thread. I was indeed thinking of using them on my mahogany Ibby 6-string (AW-60).

Hi Chazmo,

Btw, you got me interested on the Thomastik Spectrums! :D I've tried the plectrums and they're pretty good sounding strings. Right now, I have the Spectrums in a 12-string set (11s) and will be putting them on my JF65-12 real soon! But can't wait to try the Spectrum on any of my 6 string!

I got my 12-string back from my guitar guy yesterday, after a set-up and a bridge saddle put in. He did put some new set of 10s, probably Martins 80/20. But they sound very new and crispy. So that's when I knew that it's time to try out the Spectrums!!!

Man, I am sold on the Spectrums!!! They sound very warm and balance on the 12-string! And I would buy them again and again! I'm going to purchase a couple of sets for my 6-stringers!

Spectrums are bomb! really good!!
