I used to be able to quote large sections of dialog from the Don't Crush That Dwarf, Hand Me the Pliers and I Think We're All Bozos on This Bus. Thanks to age and mood-altering substances consumed at the time, I cannot now.

The Firesign Theatre, National Lampoon (the magazine), Hunter S. Thompson, and Monty Python all played key roles in the sardonic, slightly twisted and warped sense of humor I share with my peer group from then.

I have an album of theirs here The Giant Rat of Sumatra or something like that, very fast paced, very funny like all their stuff was.

Makes you wonder, just what the h happened?

There was also a spinoff, Proctor and Bergman, two of the Firesign members who worked as a duo. I have two of their LPs, and actually got one of them signed when they (or just one, maybe) came into the record store I was working at.
