Great post!

I could be wrong but I think Buddy is playing a Nightingale?

I know I will ruffle some feathers with this one, but Buddy Guy IS the KING of the BLUES!

All my feathers still seem ok. IF not the King then at least one of the crown princes? :D
Have you seen his "Guitar Center Sessions" episode? (GC actually turns out to have a redeeming contribution to society!! )

For me at least, there is no better blues guitarist than Buddy Guy.

Saw the GC sessions last weekend on some obscure channel on the satellite. I agree it is the one of the first times GC actually gave back to society. They also did a Joe Bonamassa "sessions".

Last time I saw Buddy he alternated between his signature Strat (black with white polka dots) and the Nightingale. Through a pair of tweed '59 RI Bassmans. Painfully loud according to friends of mine sitting right in front of the amps in about the fourth row...

Perhaps he's down on that video because he was so loud live- they didn't have him mic'd!

Thanks for posting that though, Clapton plays solos so differently at different times, and the first one there shows his Buddy Guy influence very well!
