I have a set of Rowe Industries black bobbin Dynasonic pickups that were originally on a Gretsch. Are they generally the same footprint as the early Starfire Dynasonics?
I realize the colour difference
Thanks

I have this '61 Starfire II equipped with late 50's Dynasonics that I was told were from a Gretsch Duojet....
Perfect fit....

They should fit the Footprint. In the 50's both the neck and bridge dynasonic's were the same height. Towards the end of the 50's into the early 60's they started making a Bridge version which was taller than the neck pickup. Some of the earliest Starfires actually came equipped with the black faced Dearmonds from the factory just like the Gretsches did. Soon after that they started making them in a white face for the Guilds. The ones you speak of should fit fine.
